Daina Dickman, Library Project Manager, California Academy of Sciences

| | Daina Dickman is the Library Project Manager at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. She is responsible for administering the IMLS grant “Connecting Content: A Collaboration to Link Field Notes to Specimens and Published Literature,” overseeing CAS’ component of digitizing and linking field notes and bird specimens from a 1905-1906 Galapagos expedition, and coordinating with seven partner institutions. Prior to her current position she worked as a reference librarian in both academic and public libraries. When not at CAS she volunteers as a certified HIV Test Counselor at Magnet Clinic and a Community Outreach Team member at Lyon-Martin Health Services.
Daina earned her MLIS from San Jose State University in 2007. She also has a BA in Political Science and English from the University of California, Berkeley and an MA in Comparative Studies from the Ohio State University. |
