Christina de Castell, Manager, Online Information & News, Vancouver Public Library

| | Christina de Castell is the manager of Online Information & News at Vancouver Public Library, responsible for a team of 25 who deliver web services, manage econtent and ebooks, coordinate public computer training, and provide information services by phone, chat and in-person on the 5th floor of Central Library. A former special librarian, her experience includes coordinating a fee-based research service and managing websites and web projects for a government agency. Christina is an advocate for user-centered design and collaborative approaches to designing information services, whether virtual or in-person. She holds an MLIS and BA from the University of British Columbia, and is an SLA Fellow. |
