Search Tips From a Seasoned Searcher
By
January/February 2018 Issue

Sidebar: Seasoned Searcher Tips

1. Search the problem, not the topic.

2. When doing a sculpture of an elephant, chip away anything that doesn’t look like elephant.

3. Results don’t all say the same thing.

4. If all your results do say the same thing, there is a fundamental flaw in your process.

5. Search simplicity often works better than search complexity.

6. Be prepared to do more than one search, with more than one phase in each search you do.

7. Search is not a burden, it’s an adventure.
