January 19, 2005, Medford, NJ—Information Today, Inc. (ITI) is pleased to announce that the Internet Librarian conference will return to the Monterey Conference Center, Portola Plaza Hotel, and Monterey Marriott, in Monterey, Calif., October 24–26, 2005. Going into its 9th year, Internet Librarian (IL) still stands out as the conference and exhibition for librarians and information professionals interested in Internet- and technology-based products and services.

With new Internet developments taking place every day, it can be difficult to keep up with the newest tools and techniques. IL 2005 brings the latest strategies and tips to attendees through keynote speakers, workshops, and an exhibit hall showcasing the most up-to-date services and products.

Internet Librarian 2005 will cater to all interests and all levels of knowledge with four simultaneous tracks and many additional workshops and networking opportunities. Some of this year’s tracks and themes will encompass such topics as information discovery & search, managing knowledge assets, blogging & knowledge exchange, case studies of Internet librarians, content management, and more. Speakers are encouraged to focus on practical applications and case studies, as well as technical and managerial issues.

Exhibiting Opportunities

Every year, all types of librarians gather at IL to learn about the latest technologies and trends in the industry, to evaluate products and services, and to network with friends and colleagues. This meeting attracts an audience from the U.S., Canada, and all over the world, making it the most comprehensive exhibit of Internet products and services of its kind. Internet Librarian attendees are decision makers with purchasing power and are their organization’s primary buyers of Internet and electronic information.
