Information Today, Inc. Announces Five New Conferences

February 1, 2005, Medford, NJ—Information Today, Inc. (ITI) has announced five new niche conferences geared toward corporate information professionals and IT managers. All five events will be held in New York on September 27-28, 2005, at the Hilton New York. The conferences are unique, intensive, 2-day educational events where information professionals and IT managers can acquire crucial knowledge, strategies, and tools that will enable them to increase the information ROI within their organization.

Acquiring, deploying, and managing content effectively on an enterprise scale is essential to business success and profitability in today’s rapidly changing business environment. “Conference attendees have strongly indicated their desire for more-focused events that deliver an immediate payback in terms of educational value. We believe these conferences meet a real need and provide quality learning opportunities for the information community,” said Information Today CEO, Thomas H. Hogan.

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) is an association sponsor for the five conferences.

The five conferences are:

Business Intelligence: Analyzing Business Data for Competitive Advantage

Taxonomy Boot Camp: Organizing Information for Search & Discovery

Innovations in Search: Next-Generation Search Tools & Technology

C2: Connect & Collaborate! Social Networking & Collaboration

Each conference will offer a structured 2-day agenda that delivers incisive, practical, in-depth information presented at an intermediate to advanced skill level. Attendees will learn tactics and strategies and acquire the know-how they need to put theory into practice and take new technology and solutions back to their organizations. Speakers will be authoritative experts and hands-on practitioners, and attendees will receive a conference binder with handouts, slides, and additional learning materials.

“The synergy between the conference topics also creates the venue for a dynamic vendor showcase and industry gathering place, which we are calling the InfoX Showcase,” said Hogan. The InfoX Showcase will feature sponsors from all five events, offering an opportunity for attendees to explore new products and tools and for companies to reach out to new customers in related market segments. A limited number of Platinum and Gold sponsorships are available for each conference.
