Information Today has announced a new conference, Information Architecture, taking place at i-expo at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, France, on 8 - 9 June 2004.

Information Architecture: Designing and Organising Digital Information Spaces is designed to provide information managers and IT professionals with the tools and information they need to create effective and efficient digital information spaces.

Information Architecture is an intensive 2-day conference focusing on the design and implementation of information systems to enable better search, navigation, and collaboration within organisations. Content managers, interaction designers, and other IT professionals will gain an understanding of fundamental information architecture strategies and learn how to create, organise and manage a structured, shared information environment.

Peter Morville, an internationally-known expert in information architecture, usability, and findability, will be the primary instructor. He will be assisted by experts with hands-on, practical experience in designing and implementing web-based information systems. Peter Morville is a co-author of a best-selling book about IA, Information Architecture for the World Wide Web, published by O’Reilly in a second edition in 2002. He is also President, Semantic Studios (www.semanticstudios.com)
