EDITOR'S NOTE
Spooky Fun
by Brandi Scardilli

What’s the best Halloween costume you’ve ever worn? Mine were always homemade, and my favorite was 1998’s, when I went as Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor from Home Improvement. I drew the Binford Tools logo on the back of a sweatshirt, wore my arm in a sling and painted on a black eye (because Tim was always getting injured), and even made an ID badge so people knew who I was. I’d love it if you get in the Halloween spirit and share your most creative costumes with me on Twitter (@ITINewsBreaks).

In this issue, Anthony Aycock haunts all corners of the internet to find sources on Halloween history and culture on page 16. I scare up the details about the ALA/Information Today, Inc. Library of the Future Award winner on page 20. And Larissa Pack treats us to an explanation of what non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are all about on page 30.

Happy Halloween!Brandi Scardilli
