Amanda Etches, Head, Discovery & Access, University of Guelph
Amanda Etches

Amanda Etches is the Head of Discovery & Access at the University of Guelph Library, where she spends her time guiding teams and projects that are all about making the overall library experience better for users, both in-person and online. She is also part of Influx, a user experience consultancy that works with libraries. Amanda has an MA in English Literature and an MISt in Library and Information Science, both from the University of Toronto. Amanda frequently writes and presents on web design, usability, and user experience practices and trends. She tweets @etches and blogs intermittently at etches.tumblr.com, two places where you are likely to find her feeling guilty about having so much fun doing exactly what she is supposed to do.
