EDITOR'S NOTE
Never Stop Learning
by Brandi Scardilli

Looking at Little Golden Books in 1988 I was that kid who never went anywhere without a book (and now I’m that adult), and I always liked going to school. I got an M.A. right after a B.A. because I wasn’t ready to leave Rutgers. I still take occasional community college classes for fun. And of course, I go to my public library for all kinds of enrichment programs. I just love learning, and I bet everyone reading this can relate. Jessica Hilburn can! She details why lifelong learning is important and how the library can remain a key educator of its community (page 18). We write a lot about AI in these pages, so it’s time to hear some new voices. Justin Hoenke reached out to see who would like to participate in an interview, and the people who agreed represent both the vendor side and the library side of the information industry (page 14). You’ll see how companies approach AI versus how librarians approach AI. I’d love to get even more perspectives on this ubiquitous technology. Email me at itletters@infotoday.com and let me know how (or even if!) you’re using AI.

Happy reading,
Brandi Scardilli
