EDITOR'S NOTE
Insights on Content
by Brandi Scardilli

We are excited to share that the EContent section has a new design and a new name—Insights on Content: Making Sense of the Digital Maze. You can continue to expect the same caliber of articles on digital content trends, marketing, tech tips and tools, AI ethics, content management, data management, and more for helping info pros and other stakeholders keep up with the industry.

This issue’s features focus on ways library workers can empower their communities with knowledge. Forty years after the first AIDS diagnosis, society has come a long way in destigmatizing STDs and embracing sexual wellness, but there’s further to go—and info pros can help. Anthony Aycock looks at the best sources of medical, historical, and cultural information on this topic (page 12). Want to help your patrons indulge in some nostalgic fun? Kelly LeBlanc offers a starting point for retro video game collection management by sharing common vocabulary and tips for metadata (page 15). And Justin Hoenke reviews ALA’s recent guide to media literacy and discusses how libraries can implement its suggestions in real-world situations (page 16). Happy reading, Brandi Scardilli
