Adriana Edwards-Johnson, Virtual Library Coordinator, Pioneer Library System
Adriana Edwards-Johnson

Since gophers were rampant on the internet - Adriana has been working with computers in libraries. Her first professional library job entailed working with government information. Her first foray into virtual librarianship was when she took responsibility for the GPO Browse Topics, in 2001. She took a brief hiatus from maintaining large number of website for a few years while she developed her skills in vendor negotiations as an electronic collections librarian in a regional university. She was also the first official Oklahoma Library Association blogger in 2003. Then in 2006, Adriana became the first Virtual Librarian in Oklahoma. She works for Pioneer Library System which serves a three county area in central Oklahoma.
