Rudy Leon, Outreach & Instruction Librarian, University of Nevada, Reno

Rudy Leon is Outreach & Instruction Librarian at the University of Nevada. Her research has two primary foci: the roles of the librarian in user outreach, engagement, and relationship-building in academic libraries, and effects of these myriad relationships on services, collections, learning spaces, and student learning; and the history and future of these infrastructure services.

Rudy is an active member of ALA, ACRL, and the Library Society of the World (LSW). She chairs the ALA Intellectual Freedom Round Table Publications & Communications Committee, and founded and convenes the ACRL Leadership Discussion Group. Rudy also coordinates the Burning Inquiry Project.
