Tony Tallent, Director of Literacy and Learning, Richland County Public Library

Tony is the Director of Literacy and Learning for the Richland County Public Library in Columbia, SC. In this role he works to integrate the library’s collection, technology and resources with programs and experiences throughout Richland County with an accent on learning in the 21st Century. He is the the former Director of the Boulder Public Library in Colorado where he initiated the Pulse Point approach to library programs. Tony has worked on several notable projects, including the hybrid library and theater partnership and facility ImaginOn in Charlotte, NC. He is also the originator of the Tricycle Music Festival which has evolved into Tricycle Music Fest West through the dedicated efforts of the San Francisco Public Library.
