Renee Chalut, Community Librarian, West Area, Vancouver Public Library

Renee completed her MLS at the University of British Columbia in 1995, when the World Wide Web was just a baby.  Once characterized as a bit of a luddite, Renee has now embraced the power of technology.  She's worked as a Virtual Librarian for BC's chat reference service, and as the Co-ordinator of technology training for the public at the Vancouver Public Library.  Currently, she's working as a Community Librarian at VPL, getting out of the library as often as she can to bring services out to the underserved.
