Jason J Battles, Director, Office of Library Technology, University Libraries, The University of Alabama

Jason J. Battles is Associate Professor and Director of the Office of Library Technology at The University of Alabama Libraries. Jason’s department manages the University Libraries' web presence as well as the desktop and network support group. His group also administers the discovery application (EDS) and open-source digital content management system and shares responsibility for LibGuides. As part of his duties managing the libraries' web presence, Jason is also working on mobile web applications and researching and developing web-based games that promote library collections and information literacy. He serves as chair of the Library Information Technology Association’s International Relations Committee and a member of LITA's Technology and Access Committee.
