Eileen Kern, Librarian, Parkland School District, Kratzer Elementary School

Eileen Kern is a librarian in the Parkland (PA) School District. In addition, she serves as an adjunct professor at Kutztown University where she teaches library science and technology courses. Prof. Kern holds a master's degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University and a master's degree in Reading from Lehigh University. She was awarded the Outstanding Contributor to Library Media Program by the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association in 2006 and was nominated Keystone Technology Integrator Teacher (2005) by the Parkland School District. She currently serves as a member of American Association of School Librarians Task Force on the Librarian's Role in Reading and as a selection committee member for the Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award.
