States that it is designed for upper elementary school to adult users and is a comprehensive source of information for homes, classrooms, and libraries. Requires a minimum of a 486 DX/33MHz computer for Windows, Windows 95/98 with MS-DOS 5.0, and 10MB hard disk space; and for Macintosh, a 25MHz LC 475, 68LC040 CPU, and System 7.5; both require 10MB RAM, a 256-color monitor, and 2X CD-ROM drive. Says that it offers 37,000 articles, 1,200 maps, 7,000 pictures, 150 videos, a 250,000-word dictionary, and more than 14 hours of sound. Finds that when compared to other multimedia encyclopedias, this consistently meets the needs of students the best. Rated five on a scale of one to five. Contains one screen display and a scorecard.
