Jackie Siminitus, VP, Communication, California School Library Association

Jackie Siminitus is a library advocate. Most recently, she is the VP-Communications and Web 2.0 Project Manager for the California School Library Association (CSLA) and sits on a number of boards and advisory councils. She previously worked for AT&T in Consumer Affairs and the Education First team for 21 years. Prior to working in the telecommunications industry, Jackie was VP and Director of Library and Publications for HRN, a Philadelphia-based public affairs/social responsibility consulting firm for Fortune 200 companies.  She has a Masters in Library Science from Drexel University and taught a “Marketing Libraries in a Networked World” at San Jose State University Graduate School of Library and Information Studies. 

In 2010, she helped develop the public awareness campaign, the California Campaign for Strong School Libraries ( and the Campaign's Library Store with illustrators galore at
