Carla O’Dell is President of the American Productivity and Quality Center and also serves as Director of the Center’s International Benchmarking Clearinghouse in Houston, Texas. She is the author of If We Only Knew What We Know: The Transfer of Internal Knowledge & Best Practices and with her current thrust in KM has led the Center to become a national leader in conducting and producing KM studies, publications, and courses.



Dave SnowdenWednesday, 9:00 a.m.
Dave Snowden is European Director, Institute for Knowledge Management at IBM Global Services and has recently been dubbed “the father of organizational story telling.” For the past six years Snowden has led a major research program into traditional story telling techniques on five continents. Coupled with leading edge research at IBM’s Watson Labs and extensive practical work with many of the world’s leading organizations, has led Snowden and his colleagues to the first worldwide patent for story method. Snowden is also pursuing research and study in the area of complex learning ecologies.

Verna Allee is President and founder of Integral Performance Group, consulting in knowledge management and strategic issues with major organizations across the U.S. Her keen insights into knowledge-based enterprises and learning organizations have led to innovative approaches for enhancing organizational performance. She is the originator of a unique knowledge, learning and performance framework described in one of her many writings, The Knowledge Evolution: Expanding Organizational Intelligence, as well as in the Learning Links assessment instrument. Allee is also the developer of processes for understanding complex systems and knowledge value creation. Allee is a Fellow of the World Business Academy and acts as advisor for special projects in intellectual capital and the knowledge economy with Stanford University, the Brookings Institution and The Alliance for Converging Technologies (now Digital4Sight).

Andy Michuda, President and CEO of Sopheon, is an internationally recognized authority on knowledge management theory and practice. A pioneer in the field, he began designing and guiding the implementation of knowledge management solutions for Fortune 500 companies and other large multi-nationals in the early 1990s. Michuda has advised senior executives at leading companies throughout the U.S. and Europe on the creation and implementation of eBusiness and content management strategies. His perspectives on knowledge management issues and practices have been profiled worldwide in such publications as Fortune, Business Week, Forbes, CIO, KMWorld and Darwin.
