Gale Signs Several Licensing Agreements

Gale Group has announced that through an agreement with Condé Nast Publications, Inc., The New Yorker will now be available online through Gale's InfoTrac databases.

The agreement with The New Yorker, best known for arts reporting in and around New York, is one in a series that expands coverage in Gale's periodical databases. Gale has also signed an agreement with Scientific American, Inc. (that will include its flagship periodical) and another with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta (for a variety of financial publications). Gale has also significantly expanded its contract with Aspen Publishers, a producer of professional journals that are focused primarily in business, law, and healthcare.

These new licensing agreements add more than 150 magazines, newsletters, and other publications to the more than 7,700 periodicals available through Gale products. More than 1,400 have been added since January 2000.
