Securities Data Publishing Launches SDPonline, Expands Distribution Agreement with Dow Jones Interactive Publishing

Securities Data Publishing (SDP), a producer of financial magazines, newsletters, journals, directories, and industry conferences, has announced the launch of its corporate Web site, SDPonline. SDP has also announced an agreement with Dow Jones Interactive Publishing to distribute SDP’s leading print publications via Dow Jones Interactive.

SDPonline
The new site, located at http://www.SDPonline.com, offers visitors an opportunity to select and sample SDP’s products and services in an easy-to-read online environment. SDPonline is structured and divided into market-focused product categories. In addition to product descriptions, the site features advertising and ordering information, links to other SDP Web sites, and contacts for SDP’s customer service team, executives, and editors.

SDPonline is grouped into 10 product categories, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investment banking, investor relations, initial public offerings (IPOs), asset management, retail financial services, employee benefits, trading services, and finance and technology.

Within each category there are descriptions, images, samples, and ordering information for each SDP product and service listed in that group. The site includes links to SDP’s individual product sites, such as http://www.financial-planning.com, http://www.takeoverstockreport.com, http://www.webfinance.net, and http://www.benefitnews.com, as well as the Web site of its parent company, Thomson Financial, located at http://www.tfn.com.

“With the launch of SDPonline, SDP has given its current and potential customers an additional means of sampling products that will help them make more informed business decisions,” said Bruce Morris, SDP’s CEO and president. “Whether visitors are looking for information on SDP’s latest interactive CD-ROMs, a speakers list for an SDP conference, or a sample article from one of its weekly newsletters, SDPonline is the source for selecting products that deliver the most up-to-date financial news and analysis on every major marketplace.”

In addition to product descriptions and ordering information on its home page, SDPonline features quick links to its well-known industry conferences and includes sections for advertising and customer service. While visitors can view upcoming agendas, speakers’ lists, and request exhibitor information for SDP’s conferences, advertisers can request media kits and pricing information for all of SDP’s products.

SDPonline has a full customer service section that allows customers and visitors to renew subscriptions, apply for free issues, change delivery addresses, and order back issues and reprints.

SDP’s and Dow Jones Interactive Publishing’s extended agreement increases the total number of newsletters, journals, and magazines that SDP delivers to Dow Jones to 22. These publications will now be available through Dow Jones Interactive (http://
djinteractive.com) and will include, among others, the full-text versions of Investment Dealers’ Digest, Mergers & Acquisitions Journal, Mergers and Acquisitions Report, On Wall Street, Investor Relations Business, Bank Investment Marketing, WebFinance, Financial Planning, and The Bank Loan Report.

This agreement comes as part of SDP’s new business development initiative, which focuses on providing its customers with information on the World Wide Web.

The service gives subscribers direct access to breaking news from around the world, a large archive of publications covering the full spectrum of business, financial information on millions of companies, and historical data on worldwide financial instruments.
