Keep in touch from any place, at any time — Legal Anywhere is both a collaborative and an extranet application
by Cary Griffith

LEGAL LINE column presents a favorable review of Legal Anywhere ($10,000) from Legal Anywhere Inc. of Portland, OR (800, 503). Says that this collaboration tool is easy to use for anyone familiar with using a Web browser to access the Internet. Notes that the product is essentially an extranet, using Web technology and the Internet's infrastructure to link remote offices in a project-driven, secure, private Web site. Adds that Legal Anywhere enables teams to communicate and collaborate on documents, scheduling, and other kinds of information. Reports that product cost is affected by the number of users and separate offices. Notes that Legal Anywhere manages much of the same information as a legal project manager, but adds that it also manages day-to-day activities and communication, and can also provide users access to essential case documents and full-text depositions. Includes one screen display and one sidebar.
