Smart Storage announces name change from SmartCD to SmartStor


Announces that Smart Storage Inc. of Andover, MA (978) is changing the name of its product line from SmartCD to SmartStor, to better reflect the company's broadened support for additional storage media. Says that the company now supports CD-ROM, CD-R, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, WORM, and MO storage devices in Microsoft Windows NT, NetWare, and UNIX environments. Reports that the SmartStor product line now includes SmartStor Access, for providing network access to collections of CD-ROMs or DVD-ROMs; SmartStor Archive, a complete read/write storage solution with flexible data archiving and expanded media support; and SmartStor Duplicator, a comprehensive CD production system that encompasses asset management, premastering, high-speed recording, verification, label printing, and serialization.
