| EBSCO Publishing has announced the addition to EBSCOhost of
Wilson Biographies Illustrated, H.W. Wilson's full-text bibliographical
database. EBSCO also announced that it has teamed with Creative Library
Software, Inc. to ensure that that company's customers have access to accurate
and up-to-date title information for all EBSCOhost full-text databases.
Wilson Biographies Illustrated
Wilson Biographies Illustrated contains more than 72,000 biographies
and obituaries and more than 28,000 photographs of the subjects. This database
provides full text from more than 100 full reference series of biographical
reference books published by H.W. Wilson, including monthly issues of Current
Biography (1940 forward), World Authors,
Nobel Prize Winners,
World Artists, World Film Directors,
Junior Authors and
Illustrators, World Musicians, Composers Since 1900,
and American Reformers.
Creative Library Software
EBSCO is providing Creative Library Software with a data feed of database
holdings information that includes URLs, coverage, and embargo periods.
This will allow libraries to keep track of the titles available in full
text via EBSCOhost and supply a link to the electronic version.
Creative Library Software was founded in November 2001. It specializes
in developing technology solutions and applications for libraries. According
to the announcement, the company is dedicated to leveraging the tools of
the Internet so partner libraries can efficiently deliver information and
services to patrons.
