The alliance enables iBistro users at U.K. libraries to access a full range of online information about books in the library's catalog without having to retrieve the book from the stacks or sort through multiple print resources. Through iBistro, U.K. library users can view in the online bibliographic record not only a book's title, author, and call number, but also its jacket cover, table of contents, and a summary. Users can also personalizeiBistro to create a "MyBistro" resource, through which they receive information about new titles of interest just to them.

Book Data (http://www.bookdata.co.uk) was founded in 1987, with the principal aim of providing high-quality, enriched information about internationally published English-language books.
