ITI Adds Detwiler's Directory of Health & Medical Resources to Its Product Line

Information Today, Inc. (ITI) has announced that it has acquired Detwiler's Directory of Health & Medical Resources from The Detwiler Group. ITI will be responsible for the production of all future editions of this annual directory.

Detwiler's Directory of Health & Medical Resources has been published since 1992, and the database profiles more than 2,000 government agencies, associations, research companies, publishers, and boards. The entire database is cross-referenced by more than 1,000 subjects and services, as well as acronyms. Every year, the information is updated and verified.

Thomas Hogan, president of Information Today, Inc., said: "I am very excited about the addition of Detwiler's Directory of Health & Medical Resources to our product line. The Detwiler Group has done a magnificent job of providing this indispensable guide to the health and medical industry. It is because of this editorial quality that we have decided to contract The Detwiler Group to maintain the database at least through the 2002 edition. We feel that this will help to continue the directory's excellent tradition, while updating and refining it for the future."

Susan Detwiler, president ofThe Detwiler Group, said: "Since my name continues to be associated with the directory, it was very important to me that the buyer have an excellent reputation. While the information and biological science offerings of Information Today, Inc., make this a natural fit, the high standards of Tom Hogan and his staff were equally important in the decision to sell."

The Detwiler Group, founded in 1985, continues to consult on the quality and utility of health and business information content, and conducts business and market research for the health and medical industries. Detwiler has recently authored a book in the Super Searchers series for ITI, Super Searchers on Health & Medicine: The Online Secrets of Top Health & Medical Researchers. The Detwiler Group also tracks the quality of health-information resources, and makes these studies available to the public.
