Medscape announces indexing of Women's Health by NLM, adds three journals

Announces that Medscape Women's Health has become the first electronic journal of its kind to be included in the National Library of Medicine's (NLM's) Index Medicus, and its online counterpart MEDLINE. Notes that NLM rejects about three-quarters of the journals submitted to it for indexing, using criteria primarily based on scientific merit. Says Medscape Women's Health contains peer-reviewed full-text articles about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of women's health problems. Also reports that Medscape has expanded its online offering by adding three new journals - the Journal of Clinical Densitometry; Stitches, the Journal of Medical Humor; and The Journal of the American Board of Family Practice - the latter of which is indexed in NLM's Index Medicus.
