Inmagic Unveils BiblioTech PRO 2.4

Inmagic, Inc. has announced the release of BiblioTech PRO 2.4, an enterprisewide integrated library system. BiblioTech PRO 2.4 features customizable keyword, multi-field, and document/report number search windows, with an option to add all or selected citations to new or pre-existing bibliographies.

"Giving information professionals the ability to customize the search window in the BiblioTech PRO system allows users to more effectively integrate content into browser-based systems and services," said Susan Stearns, Inmagic's vice president of marketing. "With BiblioTech PRO 2.4, search windows can be consistent with the look and feel of any enterprisewide intranet."

BiblioTech PRO provides a comprehensive suite of work-flow tools to manage diverse types of information in corporate and government libraries and information resource centers. The system's modules enable information professionals to perform a variety of special library functions, including catalog browsing; Boolean searching; circulation; borrower file, catalog, and authority maintenance; acquisitions; thesaurus control; periodical update; check-in; routing; and accounting. BibSpeed PRO, a Web-enabling option for searching the BiblioTech PRO database, allows employees with intranet access to search via their Web browser.
