ingenta Inks Agreement with Preston Publications

ingenta, Inc., a global research gateway, has announced it will host journals from Preston Publications through its online research engine. Handling more than 2,500 journals from over 30 publishers worldwide, ingenta will add the Preston journals to its growing database of more than 750,000 full-text articles.

“We’re very pleased to be hosting journals from Preston Publications,” said Christine Lamb, ingenta’s chief operating officer. “ingenta enables publishers to leverage the power of the Internet to expand their business, while at the same time providing a single-point solution for electronic distribution of articles and instant access to material for academics and researchers worldwide.”

In recent U.K. news, ingenta announced that it has obtained an AIM (Alternative Investment Market) listing on the London Stock Exchange. Also, ingenta announced that it plans to develop 14 new portals for publishers and professional societies to create e-communities for members and niche target audiences. These new financial and service developments pave the way for ingenta to continue its strategic expansion through value-added services and enhanced Web technology to serve the global research community.
