King County Library System Selects Syndetic Solutions

Syndetic Solutions, Inc. has announced that it will supply enhanced bibliographic information to the King County Library System (KCLS; http://www.kcls.org) in Seattle. According to the announcement, KCLS is the third-largest circulating library in the U.S. and comprises 40 libraries that serve over 1 million residents.

Syndetic Solutions offers over 1.2 million catalog-enhancement data elements to libraries, including fiction descriptors, tables of contents, summaries, annotations, author notes, cover images, and reviews. KCLS will receive a complete package of catalog enrichment.

Syndetic Solutions, Inc., based in Portland, Oregon, is an information research and development corporation providing bibliographic aids to libraries and online bookstores. According to the announcement, Syndetic Solutions’ products and services are designed to improve precision in the search and retrieval of information contained within large bibliographic databases.
