WebSPIRS 4.3
According to the announcement, the WebSPIRS 4.3 Web interface offers the same functionality and user interface of the previous versions of WebSPIRS with better performance, easier navigation, and fewer windows. Its new features include the following:

• The ability to run WebSPIRS in an independent, full-sized window, or, alternatively, in a standard browser window
• Use of the Enter button to initiate login, to search, and to move to the next page of displayed records
• Automatic positioning of the cursor in the data-entry box for all screens
• A filtering option by e-mail address for SDI accounts
• Customizing options for "Check Holdings" and "Order" buttons that can be displayed as text links at the bottom of the record. Text can be user-specified.
• Search hints and a tutorial link that are available upon first entering WebSPIRS
• A text link available at the bottom of the screen for navigating to the Full/Complete Record display
• A configuration option to log out directly to your library’s home page
• Full support of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, with the option to set default download extension to text
• Support for other authentication services using referring pages

ATLAS Full Text Plus
SilverPlatter will release ATLAS Full Text Plus, the 1949-to-the-present version of the ATLA Religion Database, with the addition of links from bibliographic records to the full text of cited articles. This new SilverPlatter offering enables users to view the complete content of articles from a growing list of religion journals.

American Theological Library Association (ATLA), publisher of the ATLA Religion Database, has already digitized 50 years of the 30 top journals in religion. ATLA will have articles available from a total of more than 50 important religion periodicals. Article images look exactly as they appear in print, and include all graphics and pictures from the print versions.

"This full-text offering is a natural extension of the ATLA Religion Database, one of our more popular humanities databases," said Bonnie Alpert, senior product manager at SilverPlatter. "Subscribers to ATLAS Full Text Plus do not need to subscribe to the individual journals in order to access the articles. Instead, a subscription to ATLAS Full Text Plus entitles subscribers to instantly access any available article by linking from the database citation.
 

RILM Database
According to the announcement, RILM Abstracts of Music Literature is the premier international bibliographic database of music scholarship, covering all areas of music and interdisciplinary studies of music and various other fields. Produced by Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale (RILM), it includes all significant writings on music in all types of media (books, periodicals, conference proceedings, electronic, etc.) produced worldwide in the last 30 years. It offers abstracts for the majority of citations before they are abstracted or indexed.

"The addition of this premier database nicely complements our growing Humanities collection," said Alpert. "Our collection includes key databases such as MLA International Bibliography, Bibliography of the History of Art, The Philosophers’ Index, and FRANCIS, with others to be added later this year. RILM is an important addition because scholars view it as the most important source of information in its discipline."

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature has broad international coverage, with close to 300,000 records from 1969 to the present; it will be updated monthly. More than 500 primary journals devoted to music are covered. Another 3,500-plus journals contain articles that have been cited. The database covers writings in over 100 languages; titles are given in both the original language and English translation, with abstracts in English, broad classifications, and subject indexes.
 

WebSTATS
With the new release of WebSTATS, SilverPlatter Internet Service subscribers may now schedule automatic monthly reports to be received by e-mail with the following features:

• Reports may be sent to multiple e-mail addresses.
• Monthly statistics files may be sent as an HTML and/or comma-separated value attachment. 
• Scheduled reports may be viewed, edited, and tested. 

• Report by desired data range
• View data broken out by day or month, or totaled
• Sort statistics by user, data, or database name
• View report on screen or save as a file and import into a spreadsheet

ISAP
According to the announcement, Information Science Abstracts Plus is designed to promote the science, management, and technology of information through the abstracting of pertinent books, journals, and conference proceedings. SilverPlatter combines records from Information Today, Inc. with library science records from the ERIC database and relevant abstracts from Internet and Personal Computing Abstracts. Most recently, Information Today, Inc. announced expanded coverage with the addition of electronic journal citations.

The newest release of ISAP includes new features such as the ability to browse journal and author names, improved subject access with descriptor and subject heading indexes, local holdings capabilities due to the addition of ISSNs, new limit options that allow users to narrow a search, new fields to link to URLs and author e-mail addresses, and the ability to link to electronic journals using SilverPlatter’s SilverLinker technology.

"We received a lot of feedback from our customers and feel that the enhancements that we made to this product will address their needs for research information in the library sciences field," said Elizabeth Hern, SilverPlatter’s product manger. "Overall, ISAP has a consistent format that allows for easier and more accurate searching."
