"Creating documents
for print as well as WWW,
using common PC software:
pitfalls and expectations"

a presentation at
Internet Librarian International '99,
a conference organized by Information Today, U.S.A.
in London, England
in March 1999

a. to the slides in English, in a Web version for a display with at least 800x600 pixels

b. to the slides in English, in a Web version for a display with at least 1024x768 pixels

These presentations have been derived from a series of slides that are made and maintained with Microsoft PowerPoint software.

The graphic version is meant for display.
The text version is created automatically, also derived from the original PowerPoint file;
it can help retrieval of slides through the Web when an Internet index is used,
but it is not suitable for display, because the placement of texts is not always correct and it does not offer pictures, diagrams, schemes, and so on, that may be essential.

Note that animated slides cannot be saved by Microsoft PowerPoint 97 or earlier versions;
therefore, they have been deleted from the original presentations
before converting them to the Web versions offered here.
