University of Notre Dame

Barb “Pete” Pietraszewski joined the faculty at the Hesburgh Libraries, University of Notre Dame, in January 2009 as one of two business librarians at the Thomas Mahaffey, Jr. Business Information Center (BIC). After staying at the BIC for four years, she left to pursue a Masters in Library Science. In 2000 she joined the faculty at Texas A&M University as an Assistant Professor in the West Campus Library, a library that at the time served both the Mays Business School and the College of Agriculture. From 2003-2008 she served as Business Librarian at the University of Michigan in the Ross School of Business’ Kresge Business Administration Library. In addition to her MLS from Indiana University, Bloomington, Pete holds a BBA in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame. Ms. Pietraszewski’s publications include “Enabling the Roving Reference Librarian: Wireless Access with Tablet PCs” in Reference Services Review (with co-author Michael M. Smith) and “"Full Stream Ahead: Database Instruction Through Online Videos" in Library Hi Tech (with co-authors Daniel Y. Xiao and Susan P. Goodwin).
