Meg Backus, ILS Administrator & Chief Maker, Chattanooga Public Library

Meg Backus is the Systems Administrator and Chief Maker at the Chattanooga Public Library where she leads the 4th Floor project. The 4th floor is a public laboratory and educational facility with a focus on information, design, technology, and the applied arts. The more than 12,000 sq foot space hosts equipment, expertise, programs, events, and meetings with an aim to facilitate learning through doing. Meg is currently learning and teaching Arduino, Processing, e-textiles, and the creative application of Makey Makeys. Meg also shares the overrepresented librarian obsessions of reading and knitting.
