Myrna Morales, Program and Communications Coordinator, Community Change Inc
Myrna E. Morales splits her time as a Technology Coordinator for the National Network of Library of Medicine, New England Region and as a Program and Communications Coordinator for Community Change, Inc., an organization dedicated to combating structural racism. She has a MA in teaching from Brown University, library and information science degree from Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science and spent some years studying medicine at the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba on a scholarship. Her rich background in medical education, education and library and information science has helped her understand that information is not only a tool that enables, permits and creates injustices, but can be used to overcome the pillars that support structural racism.
