Margaret Hazel, Virtual Branch & Innovative Technology Manager, Eugene Public Library

Margaret Hazel is the Virtual and Innovative Technology Services Managing Librarian at the Eugene Public Library, where she has worked for the last 10 years as a part of the leadership team for the Library, reaching out whenever possible to other areas of the City, including during budget conversations, internal sustainability efforts, and City web RFP processes. Active in the Oregon Library Association, she recently created a Tech Round Table for the organization. She is the listmom for the RFID_LIB email list, and is one of the writers of the 2012 NISO standard for RFID use in U.S. Libraries. All told, she has worked in libraries for over 20 years, from clerk to administrator.  She has worked at the Palo Alto Public Library, the Armstrong University Library, the San Francisco Public Library Branches, as part of the Innovative Interfaces team, and at the Oakland Public Library, all in California, prior to her journey at the Eugene Public Library in Oregon.

You will find her online as libtechlady@gmail and as libtechlady on twitter.
