Andrea Davis, Reference & Instruction Librarian, Naval Postgraduate School

A Reference & Instruction Librarian at the Naval Postgraduate School, Andrea Davis is a graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz and Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science. Constantly using technology to connect people from different avenues of personal and professional life, she is intimately involved in organizing the library community to become active in the SXSWi technology community as well as other unorthodox venues such as BurningMan, BIL, and whatever comes next. She was a research assistant for the Berkman Center for Internet & Society where she worked on strategies of policy and implementation of US municipal Broadband and helped author the award-winning video, “Born Digital”. Recognized in the 2012 Library Journal's Movers & Shakers special, Andrea excels at blending unconventional tactics into traditional settings with some remarkable results.
