intuitive and important services to our communities. Information Today’s 14th annual Internet Librarian, is definitely
the place to find those insights and ideas. Information professionals also need to add value, and the human touch, to the
Internet ensuring a strong place in our communities’ lives. Our conference theme, Insights, Imagination & Info Pros:
Adding Value, emphasizes creative and innovative Internet techniques and practices being used in library
and information services to meet today's challenges – intuitive digital sites and programs, inventive services, interesting
Internet practices to engage our communities. It also encourages the nimbleness and flexibility needed to meet the new
issues raised by the internet with creative solutions for things like the Google Book settlement, convergence of roles for
libraries, museums and archives, privacy and digital rights management.
The conference highlights leading edge practices and focuses on exciting new initiatives and innovations in all types of
information enterprises, tools and techniques for enhancing user-friendly digital information flows, fresh ideas for traditional
and emerging roles of information professionals, information discovery and visualization methods for dealing with today's
information overload, building new communities and supporting online connections in engaging ways. In other words, the
conference presents hundreds of ways to add value to the Internet for many different communities.
