Dan Jakubek, GIS and Map Librarian, Ryerson University

Dan Jakubek is the GIS and Map Librarian in the Ryerson University Library. Previous to his appointment in May 2007, he worked as the GIS and Data Technician in the Geospatial Map and Data Centre (GMDC) at Ryerson. As a geographer, lecturer and GIS Specialist, he has developed a comprehensive skill set related to GIS and its effective use. Dan completed his Masters in Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) at the University of Western Ontario, a Masters in Spatial Analysis (MSA) at Ryerson University and the University of Toronto, and an undergraduate degree in Geography at McGill University.
