PRODUCT REVIEWS column presents a favorable review of Science Court Explorations: Flight ($80) from Tom Snyder Productions of Watertown, MA (800). Says that this software package for grades 2-4 allows students to devise and test scientific hypotheses as they investigate many of the principles of air flight. Includes science manipulative kit, CD-ROM, and teacher's guide with reproducible student materials. Requires a minimum of System 7.1, LC 475 (68040 processor) and 8MB RAM for Macintosh; and a 486 processor with sound card, 8MB (Windows 3.1) or 16MB (Windows 95/98) for the IBM-compatible version. Both systems require a 640x480 monitor with 256 colors. Says that the optional external speakers and large-screen monitor are highly recommended. Notes that the combination of video and hands-on activities was a big hit with students. Contains a screen display and a scorecard.
