Brain Quest: 5th Grade
by Sally Finley
Presents a very favorable review of Brain Quest: 5th Grade ($20)
from IBM Corp. of Redmond, WA (800). Says that the Brain Quest
software series brings the popular card deck trivia challenge to the
computer screen, with more than 1,000 grade-appropriate,
curriculum-based questions in each program. Requires a minimum of
System 7.5 for Power Macintosh, or Windows 95/98/NT for an
IBM-compatible PC with a Pentium processor; both systems require
16MB RAM, 10MB hard drive space, SVGA monitor, 4X CD ROM drive, an
Internet connection (via modem or network) and browser. Relates that
the questions are stored in five packs in the subject areas of
language arts, mathematics, science, history, and geography, as well
as a "grab bag." Says that students love the interactive nature of
this program, and rates five on a scale of one to five.
Includes one scorecard.
