Thomson Financial Publishing Debuts Enhanced Web Resources

Thomson Financial Publishing (TFP) has announced the launch of new versions of two Web sites, http://www.fraudban.com and http://www.tfp.com.

FraudBAN.com is a nationwide information clearinghouse that facilitates real-time data sharing among banks, thrifts, and credit unions to thwart check fraud and other white-collar crimes.According to the announcement, perpetrators of fraud frequently use similar phony identification and account information at multiple institutions. Through FraudBAN.com, fraud cases are aggregated, compared, and used to assist law enforcement with the prosecution of criminals, resulting in the reduction of future fraud-related losses. Institutions can have access to this service 24/7. New features on the site include partnership links, free registration to receive e-mail updates, and up-to-date headline briefings from Pratt's Letter Online.

TFP's corporate Web site has also been enhanced to include weekly mergers and acquisitions activity; OFAC Corner, with information, guidelines, and links to comply with government regulations such as FinCEN's Suspicious Activity Report Software; and Track the Terrorists, which offers the latest updates and information about the fight against terrorist financing.
