NFAIS Announces New Board of Directors

NFAIS, the membership organization for groups that aggregate, organize, and facilitate access to information, has announced its board of directors for 2002. Newly elected members of the board of directors include the following:
  • David Brown, senior vice president of content development for Dialog Corp.

  • Lucian A. Parziale, vice president of information systems for H.W. Wilson

  • Sally Sinn, associate director for technical services at the National Agricultural Library
In addition, NFAIS executive director Dan Duncan announced that the association's membership has chosen current board member Marjorie Hlava, president of Access Innovations, Inc., as president-elect for 2002.

"In choosing these three new directors and Ms. Hlava as president-elect, the NFAIS membership has again assured that our organization has strong, experienced, and forward-looking leadership," said Duncan. "Collectively, their election maintains the strong tradition at NFAIS of attracting the leading organizations and minds from the fields of information and information technology—whether from the private, nonprofit, or government sectors. I am looking forward with pleasure to working closely with our new and current board members, whose perspectives and knowledge are crucial to ensuring the continued success of NFAIS as the chief organization representing the interests of the information aggregator community."
