Micromedia, Ltd. Partners with NewsBank, Books24x7.com

Micromedia, Ltd., a division of IHS Canada, has announced a partnership with NewsBank, Inc., one of the largest distributors of newspaper content in the education and library markets worldwide. Micromedia has also announced a partnership with Books24x7.com to offer its IT Pro product for libraries.

As a result of its agreement with NewsBank, Micromedia becomes a value-added reseller for NewsBank products. This alliance includes U.S. and international newspaper and curriculum content from leading publishers worldwide. According to the announcement, NewsBank Web and CD-ROM products will be available seamlessly from Micromedia.

"We are delighted to join forces with NewsBank. NewsBank is a high-quality electronic publisher and, as such, is a perfect partnership for us. This relationship strengthens our leadership position in providing Canadians with high-value-added content in the context of global information."

According to the announcement, Micromedia's IT Pro delivers best-of-class content from the industry's top publishers of technical books and journals. More than just e-books, IT Pro is aggregated into a single repository and integrated with breakthrough search technology. IT Pro is fast becoming the Web-based learning resource for IT professionals and students.

As a result of the agreement, Micromedia becomes a value-added reseller for Books24x7.com's products. Micromedia will now be able to offer information technology professionals immediate access to trusted, technical information from a variety of leading publishers, such as Microsoft Press, Macmillan, Sybex, and many more. Available via Micromedia Canada's Information Resource Centre, the collection contains information on more than 100 technical categories, including Web development, networking, database development, programming, operating systems, and enterprise computing.
