Chancery Software Ships Library Pro 2.2

Chancery Software, Ltd. has announced the release of an upgraded version of its library information system, Library Pro 2.2, to all customers on applicable support programs. The enhanced version integrates with Win School and Mac School, Chancery's school-based student management solutions.

According to the company, schools that are also Win School or Mac School customers will realize numerous benefits while using Library Pro 2.2, including enhanced data accuracy and reduced data-entry time. Library Pro 2.2 users will be able to customize the application to synchronize—either on demand or through scheduled updates—with the school's Win School or Mac School databases. Student and staff demographic information will be updated every time the data is synchronized.

"This is an exciting release for Chancery. The integration between the student management system and the library system significantly reduces the amount of time media specialists spend managing student data," said Cheryl Oke, Chancery's library product specialist. "Media specialists will have more time to do the work they are trained for: to work with teachers on cooperative program planning and to assist them in finding appropriate materials in all formats. And they will have more time to help acquaint students with the resources that they need to become knowledge workers and lifelong learners."

"The release of Library Pro 2.2 is yet another example of Chancery's ability to help schools adopt new technologies without compromising usability, functionality, or scalability," said Rick Moignard, Chancery's CEO. "Our Library Pro 2.2 and student information system solutions continue to provide unparalleled timely, accurate, and complete information to administrators, teachers, students, and parents."

According to the announcement, Win School and Mac School are North America's top-selling K-12 student information systems for Windows and Macintosh. These robust, proven systems provide comprehensive and user-friendly capabilities for managing and using student information in schools.
