Alacra Selected as 2002 SIIA Codie Awards Finalist

Alacra, a global provider of business and financial information, has announced that the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) has selected it as a 2002 SIIA Codie Awards finalist for the "Best Online Business, Corporate or Professional Information Service" category.

According to the announcement, the SIIA 2002 Codie Awards showcase the software and information industry's finest products and services and honor excellence for corporate achievement and philanthropic efforts.

"The Codie Awards finalists are the best of the best our creative and innovative industry has produced in the past year," said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. "The Codie Awards represent peer recognition of excellence. We congratulate all of the developers, designers, and programmers that have had a hand in bringing such outstanding work to the market."

More than 500 companies nominated more than 700 products, Web sites, and online services in the competition. The Codie Awards finalists represent a range of companies from emerging start-ups to traditional industry powerhouses. According to the announcement, the Codie Awards provide the only peer-recognition program in the software and information industry, a unique venue where companies compete for the praise of their competitors. The 2002 Codie Awards will be presented at a black-tie gala on April 15 during the SIIA 2002 Annual Conference at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.
