Inmagic Unveils DB/Text WebPublisher PRO

Inmagic, Inc. has announced the release of DB/Text WebPublisher PRO, a new read/write, XML-enabled Web publishing solution.

WebPublisher PRO and the DB/TextWorks software provide a fully integrated database system with the capability to store, search, and obtain information (text, multimedia, and images) on the Web. WebPublisher PRO includes an XML Forms Library, which reportedly makes it easy for even nontechnical users to publish their databases interactively on the Web by offering a set of pre-programmed templates for queries and reports.

Through the use of XML, HTML, and SOAP, DB/Text WebPublisher PRO is fully open and standards-based. It provides the capability to do the following:

• Publish content to the Internet via a Web browser

• Edit records in a browser

• Create interactive forms with third-party tools

• Customize reports to a Web site design

• Tightly integrate DB/Text textbases with other applications

According to Inmagic, many information-intensive organizations—companies, universities, law firms, and government agencies—have chosen DB/Text and its Web publishing solutions to manage business intelligence, research content, image and archive databases, product catalogs, help desk knowledge bases, and more.

Inmagic's DB/Text WebPublisher PRO is shipping now, with full XML support available in the near future. The XML FormsLibrary will be provided in January as a part of the standard maintenance package. Information is available directly from Inmagic, and dealers can be located at http://www.inmagic.com/webvar.htm.
