Dialog Upgrades DialogPRO Service, Teams with BMI

Dialog Corp. has announced that an expanded roster of content channels is now available through its DialogPRO small-business product. The updated version of the Web-based service features additional options for flat-fee subscriptions. Dialog also announced that content from Business Monitor International (BMI), a business and economics publisher that specializes in global emerging markets, is now available through Dialog Profound's ResearchLine market research collection.

DialogPRO

The new content channels offered through DialogPRO are biotech, competitive intelligence, consulting, and defense. Two other content channels—advertising and news—were included with the initial release of DialogPRO in February. Subscribers can select a content channel that best meets their information needs, with sources prepackaged for each channel.

Three subscription tiers—Primary, Plus, and Premier—are available within each content channel. These tiers vary by the number and type of information sources available. The Premier package also features content from NewsEdge. It includes industry and market news that's relevant to the chosen content channel, as well as major breaking international and regionalized news. On a transactional basis, DialogPRO subscribers may search for and then retrieve articles and reports from information sources that are not included in their subscription tier.

BMI Content

BMI's publications, including Emerging Markets Monitor, the Financial Alert series, the Market Monitor series, and the Quarterly Country Forecast series, are now available for electronic searching and article retrieval through Dialog Profound. The company's reporting and analysis covers political risk, finance, macroeconomic performance, outlook and forecast, industry sectors, and business operating issues in key markets in Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

"We are delighted to offer our range of country analysis research publications through Dialog Profound," said Andrew Leighton, BMI's business development manager. "Our focus on emerging markets will help strengthen Dialog Profound's coverage of international macroeconomic and political reporting and analysis."
