ingenta, Inc. Announces 19 New Publisher and Portal Partnerships

ingenta, Inc., the global research gateway, has announced that, in addition to its electronic journal content, users can access reports and statistics from over 60 publisher and society partners, providing them with a broader breadth of research material. According to the company, ingenta continues to expand its research offerings through strategic content partnerships with The European Patent Office and The Open Archives, an online self-publishing e-print service.

“Multidisciplinary research is central to successful academic and professional study,” said Mark Rowse, ingenta’s CEO. “These new partnerships enable the publishers to provide users with single-point online access through http://www.ingenta.com to the best-quality research content in the world.”

Over 20 ingenta e-communities or portals are being developed in niche subject areas with premium content providers. Using leading-edge XML technology, ingenta will launch the new portals over the next year. New contracts have been signed with the Nature Publishing Group and Palgrave.

New publisher partnerships include those with the American Dental Association, ASLIB, e-med, Institute of Materials,  Institute of Physics Publishing, Institute of Waste Management, IOS Press, Karger, Maney Publishing, Society of American Foresters, Trustees of the Journal of Horticultural Science and Biotechnology, Urban & Fischer Verlag, and Modern Humanities Research Association.

New reports and statistics publisher partnerships include Business Intelligence, Eurostat, and Primary Research Group. New ingenta e-communities partnerships are with Macmillan Publishers, Nature Publishing Group, and Palgrave.
