Kinecta Offers Free Content-Syndication Application, Reaches Agreement with Open Market, Inc.

Kinecta Corp., a provider of content-syndication and aggregation infrastructure solutions, has announced the general availability of Kinecta Syndicator Lite, a free content-distribution application. The company has also announced a strategic arrangement with Open Market, Inc. (http://www.openmarket.com) to develop solutions combining the Kinecta Interact syndication infrastructure solution with the Open Market Content Server content-management solution.

Kinecta Syndicator Lite
Based on the company’s Kinecta Interact system, Kinecta Syndicator Lite enables businesses to establish up to five open, dedicated channels for automating content distribution, thus eliminating the reliance on manually intensive and error-prone distribution methods, such as e-mail or FTP (file transfer protocol), according to the announcement. It also avoids unscalable and inflexible click-back methods, such as linking and framing.

"We are committed to providing solutions that meet or exceed our customers’ requirements for ongoing content distribution," said David Mathison, Kinecta’s chairman and CEO. "Syndicator Lite enables businesses to quickly get started building a distribution network and will prepare them for ongoing information exchange and collaboration throughout their value chain."

Kinecta’s infrastructure solutions allow companies to establish multiple points of presence instead of relying on single destination sites, intranets, or extranets that force suppliers, partners, customers, or employees to access their content. Like Kinecta Interact, Syndicator Lite manages delivery of multiple content types, formats, content sources, and delivery frequencies. It automates the distribution of content in a wide range of file formats, including XML, HTML, text, Adobe PDF, graphics, audio, video, and streaming media. According to the company, businesses that need access to more advanced functionality and support for larger distribution networks can easily upgrade to the enterprise-class Kinecta Interact platform.

Kinecta’s solutions allow companies to establish a wide range of automated distribution processes, including the ongoing delivery of content—such as financial data, manufacturing drawings, or product catalogs—to partners or suppliers. Companies can also automate delivery of industry news to partner sites to increase reach and extend brand recognition. Kinecta Syndicator Lite is available immediately as a free download from http://www.kinecta.com.

Open Market Alliance
Open Market’s Content Server is a pure Java platform for the development and operation of high-performance, large-scale content-management and delivery applications. Both Open Market and Kinecta solutions are based on open standards: Java and XML. Kinecta Interact complies with the Information and Content Exchange (ICE) protocol, providing customers with an open-architected solution for the syndication of content. The combined technologies will be designed to allow companies to create, update, and manage Web content by giving business users the ability to submit, edit, approve, and post content as needed.
